Olympic Games to generate US$16 m profits

On Tuesday, December 4, 2007, the Chinanews reported that the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 would generate 16 million US dollars of profits for China after taking out all the expenses according to Li Jinhua, a researcher at the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Li said that the investment made in the Olympic-related projects has played an important role in boosting the economy and in starting many market-exploring projects to yield fruitful results.
