A Final Goodbye To Shutdowns

Issue 41, October 13, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

October 12, 2013: the three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC, and CPN-UML have in their election manifestoes declared that they would never call any sorts of shutdowns in the future, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

NC and CPN-UML leaders have regretted that they have called the shutdowns causing untold miseries to the common folks. That had been the past, and they said that they would not repeat the same mistakes in the future.

If the readers have the memory of the NC and CPN-UML had called the shutdowns of Nepal demanding the release of their cadres implicated in the murder cases.

Criminals have been running the major political parties. The welcome accorded to the NC leader convicted of the corrupt, and served the jail term of more than year when recently released shows that the NC leaders not only don’t feel ashamed of their corrupt leaders but even proud of their shameful acts of corruption. Certainly, otherwise where will they get the money for keeping the so many cadres for the full time party jobs?
