Recalling Ambassador Rukma Rana To Nepal

June 21, 2011: speaking at the interaction program in Kathmandu yesterday, Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav has said that the government of Nepal has decided to recall Ambassador Rukuma Rana from India for not following the instructions of the government but following the instructions of his party boss, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
Foreign Minister Yadav has said that other ambassadors would also face the similar fate if they also don’t follow the government’s polices. Mr. Rana has failed to enforce the instructions of the government for making an arrangement for the prime minister to visit India, and Mr. Rana has also failed to show up in Nepal when the Indian foreign minister visited Nepal causing diplomatic embarrassment.
Mr. Yadav has also said that the anarchy has prevailed so much in the Nepalese administration it has been a challenge to institutionalize the rule of law.
Mr. Rana was the nominee of the NC party.
