By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

April 21, 2010: some NC leaders have floated the idea of holding fresh elections if the promulgation of a new constitution is not possible by May 28, 2010. However, one of the NC leaders Shekher Koirala has said in Biratnagar that the fresh elections are not the idea of the NC.

Chairman CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal has not agreed on the idea of holding fresh elections if a new constitution is not available by May 28,2010. He has said that it will not be correct to go to fresh elections without a new constitution; however, he is agreeable to extend the term of the Constituent Assembly according to the nepalnews.com.

UCPN-Maoist Leader CP Gajurel has said that the idea of fresh elections and the extension of the tern of the Constituent Assembly are the conspiracies of the NC and CPN-UML leaders to backtrack from the promulgation of a new constitution.
