A Third Gender Among More Than Six Thousands Candidates In Nepal

October 5, 2013: according to the spokesman for the Election commission, number of candidates filling their nominations at the offices of Election Commission across the country reached 6,352 of them one thousand non-party candidates. Women candidates are 591, and 5,760 men, and one is the third gender, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
In the previous constituent assembly elections held in 2008, the number of candidates was 3,946 of them 368 are women, and 3,578 men, according to the Election Commission.
