Nepalese Legislators For Training In USA

June 24, 2010: twenty twp members of legislature representing various political parties and the spokesman for the NC are heading to USA on Thursday to attend the training program hosted jointly by the US Department of State, and Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, Massachusetts. The training is on developing inter-party cooperation and negotiations.
The US Embassy in Kathmandu has granted visa to four Maoist leaders such as CP Gajurel, Agni Sapkota, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Pampha Bhusal for the US to attend the seminar in Boston among others. Previously, the US embassy had denied the Maoist ministers and leaders as their party is on the terrorist-watch list of the USA.
Nepalese legislators will meet members of House of Representatives, senators and Governor of Massachusetts for exchanging the views and ideas while in the USA.
