Completion of third Movement And Announcement of Fourth Movement

On December 22, 2009: the last day of the third movement against the undemocratic act of the President, speaking at the special protest rally held at New Baneswore in Kathmandu, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that his party will not talk with the current puppet government but its masters in Delhi with the following agenda:
1. Review of the Nepal-India Treaty of 1950
2. Trade and Transit Treaty with India to ease the unequal trade balance
3. Removal of the Indian Army from Kalapani
4. Formation of a high-level mechanism comprising Nepal, India and China
5. Nepal’s relations with India and China on equal footing.
Then, Chairman Prachanda declared the end of the third round of the movement against the President’s unconstitutional move on directly writing a letter to the army chief and announced the fourth round of the movement starting on December 25, 2009 and ending on January 24, 2010; the fourth round of the movement will be for creating awareness of national status among the people and exposing the corruption of the government; if the President does not correct his unconstitutional movement by the end of the fourth round of movement then the UCPN-Maoist will call for an indefinite shutdown of the country.
Chairman Prachanda also said that current puppet government could not say anything even when the Indian general has told the visiting Nepalese general not to integrate the Maoist combatant into the Nepal Army; how the foreign general could say such thing that goes against the Comprehensive Peace Agreement the Maoist have with the government.
Speaking at the same rally, countering the claim of some people saying the Presidential rule will be in place after the expiry of the Constituent Assembly, Chairman of the Movement Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has read out the two articles of the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 that say the Constituent Assembly will come to an end its existence after completing the writing of a new constitution but it continues to function as a legislature until elections for a new legislature is held following the new constitution.
