Visiting Scenic Manaslu Conservation Area

August 18, 2013: after the government opened the Manaslu Conservation Area for the tourists to visit in 1995, 21,800 mostly from Switzerland, France, Norway, America, England, German, Russia, Turkey, Italy, Japan and Korea visited the area to enjoy the beautiful landscape, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’
According to the data collected by the tourist information centers set up by the Manaslu Area Conservation Project at Jagat of Sirdibas and Sama of Samagaun, some 4,246 tourists visited the area in 2012, 2,322 in 2010, 2,889 in 2009, 1,850 in 2008 and 1,827 in 2007.
The Manaslu Area Conservation Project has been collecting detailed information on the tourists visiting the area from these two tourist information centers at Jagat of Sirdibas and Sama of Samagaun.
