Opening The Road That Passes Through 13,000 ft Altitude in Nepal

December 16, 2012: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai today opened the Nagma-Gamgadhi Road that passes through the Ghuchhi Lake at 13,000 ft and the Talcha Airport at 11,500 ft and reaches Gamgadhi headquarter of the Mugu district to the public transportation, according to the news posted on thehimalayantimes.com.

After the opening of this road to the public transportation, the people of the Mugu and Kalikot districts are linked with the rest of the country by road. Now, they can have easy access to the market for their products and for their necessities, too. The opening of the market to the people will surely bring the people of this region economic prosperity. They might get domestic and international tourists visiting their areas.

The Nepal Army (NA) has started constructing this 93-km long road in the FY 2007 at the estimated cost of 1.58 billion Nepalese rupees (NPR), the NA has spent 0.54 billion on the construction of this road, thehimalayantimes.com writes quoting the press release of the directorate of the Army Nepal today.

Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai took with him Minister for Finance Barsa Man Pun, Minister for Physical Planning and Works Hridayesh Tripathi and Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher Rana not forgetting his spouse Hisila Yami to attend this event.
