Protest Against Beating Executive Director

December 23, 2009: various associations of the civil servants have condemned the beating of Executive Director Haribol Khanal of Textbook Development Center at his own office at Sanothimi, Bhaktapur by the people calling for the shutdown of the government offices on Monday, December 22, 2009: the second day of the three-day shutdown of businesses across the country called by the UCPN-Maoist, and demanded strong actions against the perpetrators of such public offense. They also threatened to launch a protest against the government if the government fails in taking any actions against such culprits.
