Issue 48, November 29, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

The state-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of November 27, 2009 has stated that the UCPN-Maoist has made its program on proclaiming 13 state republics on different date. Previously, the UCPN-Maoist has postponed the declaration of autonomous states saying its leaders have not done serious homework on it. So, the UCPN-Maoist has made it the part of the third round of movement against the President’s unconstitutional move on directly writing a letter to the army chief.

On December 11, 2009, the Maoist leaders will declare Limbuvan and Kocila autonomous states, on December 13, Seti-Mahakali and Tharuvan autonomous states, on December 14, Kirant and Sherpa autonomous states, on December 15, Bheri-Karnali and Bhote-lama autonomous states, on December 16, Tamsaling and Nevah autonomous states, on December 17, Tamuvan and Magrant autonomous states, on December 18, Madhesh autonomous state.

Similarly, various associations and organizations affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist have also announced their programs on making the third round of the movement successful.
