India To Cooperate With Nepal In Completing Peace, And Statute

August 10, 2011: Speaking to the visiting Nepalese women parliamentarians, newly appointed Foreign Secretary of India Rajan Mathai has said that India would work with Nepal on completing the peace process and constitution making respecting the sovereignty of Nepal, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Indian Foreign Secretary Mathai has said that India has been highly concerned with the political situation in Nepal and the cross border crimes.

In turn, Nepalese women lawmakers have underlined the need for properly managing the open border between the two countries. Some of the Madheshi lawmakers pointed out the misbehavior of Indian SSBs at the border areas causing tensions and asked the Indian Secretary to take up this matter seriously,
