Badi Women Back To Sex Trade Again
By KTM Metro Reporter
November 14, 2012: the Badi community women returned back to their traditional business of sex trade, as they don’t have skills in other businesses to earn a living, and the government has not enforce the agreement it has reached with the Badi community on providing them with the skill training and make them able to earn a living working on decent jobs, according to the state-run news agency RSS.
The Badi women have returned to their old profession of sex trade as the government has failed in enforcing the agreement reached with the Badi community on rehabilitating the Badi women engaged in the sex trade, by providing them skill training on other jobs and allowances for livelihood.
The women have to return to their traditional sex trade to support their families, as they did not have skills in other trades, and could not earn a living working on other trades. Consequently, they have no alternatives to go back to their traditional sex trade.
