Indo-Nepal Meeting On Gandak And Kosi Projects

November 25, 2012: Officials of Nepal and India are holding a two-day meeting in Katmandu starting on November 27 to sort out the contentious issues concerning the Gandak and Kosi irrigation projects, according to the report made by ‘The Times of India’ from Patna, capital of the Bihar state, India on November 23, 2012.

Gandak and Kosi irrigation projects are the two main projects that are supposed to benefit both the countries. These projects are supposed to provide Nepal with the sufficient water for irrigation, and prevent floods in India, and irrigate major parts of Indian agricultural land.
