Nepali Congress Not Happy With Government’s Performances

On September 6, 2009, speaking to the anchor of the program called ‘Antar Sambad’ of the state-run Radio Nepal, leader of Nepali Congress Chakra Prasad Banstola has said that the Nepali Congress has not been happy with the performances of the current coalition government; the Prime Minister has been engaged in expanding the cabinet only; the Central Committee members of the Nepali Congress have never favored the Nepali Congress joining in the current government, however they have agreed to join the government to give the feeling to the leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist and Leninist that they have the support of the Nepali Congress for them; they have not put forward any conditions to join the government. Replying to the question of the anchor that Nepali Congress Girija Prasad Koirala has put forward the condition to the Prime Minister for making his daughter Sujata Koirala Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Banstola has said that the condition put forward by the Party President might be his own but the Central Committee members have not put forward any conditions.
