Chairman Regmi Participating In UN General Assembly

September 11, 2013: chairman of Interim Election Council of Ministers Khilraj Regmi is going to New York on September 26, 2013 to participate in the 68th General Assembly of UN. Chairman Regmi will address the UN General Assembly on September 28, and return back on September 30, according to the revised schedule, the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes.
Previously, the council of ministers has decided a 10-day visit to New York, to have sideline talks with different heads of state, and government but the political party leaders have been concerned with the long time absence of the head of the government and the home minister at the time when their presence is necessary for making preparations for holding elections to a new CA.
So, the government has revised the schedule for the New York visit and dropped out the minister for home holding the portfolio of ministry of foreign affairs of the team visiting New York.
