Leaders Meeting Each Other After Elections

Issue 48, December 1, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 26, 2013: President of NC Sushil Koirala made a visit to the residence of Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda yesterday, to talk about the crating of a new constitution, and persuade him to accept the election results. However, the UCPN-Maoist central committee meeting has decided to set a campaign in motion against the irregularities in the elections, and also decided to take part in the new CA only if it were to work on a consensus rather than the majority rule.

Vice-chairman of UCPN-Maoist went to see senior leader of CPN-UML Madhav Nepal to convince him of the need for building a consensus on crafting a new constitution.

Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda met with Madhav Nepal at his residence. Chairman Prachanda told Madhav Nepal that the irregularities in the elections should be corrected, and the crafting of a new constitution should be following a consensus of all political parties not on the two-thirds majority of the NC and the CPN-UML, writes the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
