By KTM Metro Reporter

March 1, 2013: speaking to the reporters in Pokhara on February 27, 2013, American ambassador to Nepal Peter W Bodde said that the country should hold elections to break the current political deadlock, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of February 28, 2013. Ambassador Bodde was in Pokhara to participate in an event held under the youth council program in Pokhara.

Elections should be held to institutionalize democracy, and the US is for holding free and fair elections in Nepal; and the US is ready to assist Nepal in holding impartial elections, Ambassador Bodde said, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news.

America is not for interfering in the internal matters of Nepal; so, America will not talk in support of or against any political party but America will honor any consensus decisions made by the political parties, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news.
