Prime Minister Bhattarai Obliged To Expand His Cabinet

Issue 47, November 20, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 16, 2011: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that he has to expand the cabinet because of the threat coming from the political parties to tear down his government; so, he has no alternative to expanding the cabinet adding ministers to his cabinet.

Prime Minister BHattarai has said that he has focused on completing the peace process and the constitution writing; so, the people should judge his performances of these two nationally important tasks.

Certainly, adding one minister after another to his cabinet, Dr. Bhattarai has been going against his own principles of austerity. In addition, the largest cabinet so far, Nepal has would be unmanageable, too.

Other two so-called parliamentary parties such as NC and CPN-UML should join the Bhattarai rather than just watching what Bhattarai could do to break the political deadlock and bring the peace process to the logical end if they are sincere to making a new constitution and to the political stability in Nepal and if they are not opportunists but reasonable political leaders.
