US Lt Gen Francis J. Wiercinski Arrives In Nepal

December 5, 2011: Lt Gen Francis J. Wiercinski Commanding General US Army, Pacific (USARPAC) arrived in Kathmandu on a four-day official visit, and met with Nepal Army's Chief of Staff, Gen Chhatra Man Singh Gurung yesterday, and discussed matters concerning the cooperation on boosting the military ties between the two military, PTI reports.
Gen Wiercinski will also discuss the matters concerning the collaboration and management of possible mega disaster relief works in future by the Nepalese military.
Gen Wiercinski will visit the School of Jungle Warfare Training Centre in Amlekhjung and the Mid-division Army Headquarters in Hetauda in central Nepal., and will also inspect the Nepal Army' Training Center at Panchkhal in the east of Kathmandu and the Commanding Staff College according to the PTI reports.
