Curbing Coercive Donation Campaign Of Political Parties

April 17, 2013: speaking to the representatives of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) at the Home Ministry yesterday, Minister for Home Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire has said that the government is committed to stop the donation terror and hooliganism, and his ministry has issued serious instructions to the security agencies to maintain the law and order, and curb any illegal activities, according to the news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.

 

The Home Minister also agreed on the need for creating an environment conducive to investment in industries in the country reforming laws and policies gradually, as most of the current laws and policies are ambiguous, not so friendly to the industry sector.

 

Home Minister Ghimire also holding the portfolio of the Minister for Foreign Affairs said that the government was committed to pursue economic diplomacy for fast economic development of the country, and sought the help of the private sector to this end.

 

President of CNI Narendra Kumar Basnet in turn repeated the demand for the guarantee of law and order for the private sector to flourish in the country.

 

Minister Ghimire said that his ministry has directed the concerned agency to suspend the Assistant Chief District Officer at the Lalitpur District Administration Office caught up in gambling at a casino. The law forbids Nepalis to enter casinos. The government also would bring the casino operator that gave permission to Nepalese citizens to gamble at the casino to justice.
