Visit Of Team of Maoists To China

June 29, 2010: an eleven-member team of Maoist leaders headed by one of the Vice-chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Narayan Kaji Shreshta ‘Prakash’ has left Kathmandu for China for a 10-day visit at the invitation of the Communist Party of China on Tuesday morning. The team includes Chief of International Bureau of UCPN-Maoist Krishna Bahadur Mahara, politburo members such as Lokendra Bista and Hitraj Pandey, central committee members such as Santosh Budha Magar, Khagraj Bhatta, Pawan Man Shrestha, Krishna Dev Singh Danuwar, Constituent Assembly member Satya Pahadi, Prachanda’s daughter Ganga Dahal and office secretary Durlav Pun according to the local media reports. The team will make a stopover in Lhasa and continue their flight to Beijing.
The visit of the high-level team of the UCPN-Maoist is for strengthening the friendly ties between the UCPN-Maoist and the Chinese Communist Party according to the UCPN-Maoist’s news. The team will interact with the Chinese leaders and visit various parts of China including the birthplace of Mao-Zedong.
