Service Delivery At Department Of Transport

Issue 21, May 26, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 19, 2013: fattened by the over-paid salaries, one of the staffs of the Department of Transport at the Ring Road delayed the registration of application for vehicle driving licenses for 45 minutes stating he did not have a red-ink pen today. The counter itself was opened at 10:30 AM whereas they are paid for working starting at 10:00 AM.

These guys have abused their working time. They had been absent for a half hour. The head of the department did not take actions against these lower staffs as the head even came one hour late. He used one hour of his official duty for his private purposes.

This is the corruption wide spread among the state employees. They keep customers waiting for hours for nothing but a red-ink pen. The department collecting millions of revenue from the customers could not provide even a pen on time for the service delivery,

The department has been harassing the customers for not registering the applications for driving license for motorbikes, scooters and vehicles on the same day. The department has set different dates for even registering the application for driving licenses for different vehicles.
