Turkish Airlines Operate Istanbul-Kathmandu-Istanbul Flights

July 12, 2013: the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has approved the Turkish Airlines to operate scheduled flights between Istanbul and Kathmandu pursuant to the Air Services Agreement (ASA) signed between the two countries on October 24, 2010, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com. The national flag carrier of Turkey: Turkish Airlines applied for authorizing the operation of flights on June 6, 2013.

 

The Aviation Industry Management Division under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has asked the Europe-America Division under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Turkish Airlines on the approval through the diplomatic channel.

 

Turkish Airlines set to start off the flights on this sector on September 1, 2013 using A330-200 aircrafts. The airline will operate four flights a week (Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) on the Istanbul-Kathmandu-Istanbul route to begin with.
