Chairman Of CPN-Maoist Disclose Decisions Of His Party

January 17, 2013: Chairman of CPN–Maoist Mohan Vaidhya disclosed the decisions of his party made at the Seventh National Congress to the reporters at the news conference held at the Nepal Academy on Wednesday afternoon, January 15, 2013. He said that his party has decided to go for the People’s Republic to relieve the people from the perpetuating poverty.

Chairman Vaidhya said that the people’s war has left huge experiences; the party has decided to launch any future movement based on that experiences. His party would fight for the people, and would be concerned with the people's problems; his party would even take up arms if needed be to resolve those problems, according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com on January 16, 2013.

Chairman Vaidhya cautioned that the NC and the CPN-UML leaders could incite the civil society leaders, human rights activists, lawyers and journalists aligned to these two party to take up not only the murder case of journalist Thapa but also many other cases related to the 'people's war' going against the comprehensive peace agreement but the NC and the CPN-UML could not escape from the liability of such issues, according to the RSS/THT ONLINE news.

General Secretary of CPN-Maoist Ram Bahadur Thapa in turn said that the convention has endorsed the people's federal republic, national independence, people's constitution and formation of a national united government; the convention has also stressed the need for forming a new united front of the left, patriotic, republican and federalist forces.
