Shutting Down Entire Nepal On Tuesday
By KTM Metro Reporter
February 20, 2013: Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya could be proud of shutting down the entire nation for a day yesterday but the common folks put a curse on him, as most of the breadwinners had to remain home, their children have to go hungry, as bread stores were closed. Sick people remained home for not having ambulances, and other vehicles to take them to hospitals.
Mr. Vaidhya had unleashed his ferocious cadres to punish anybody defying his order to shut down. Those wolf-like cadres vandalized any vehicle knowingly or unknowingly ran on the streets. They broke the stores. Common folks were helpless. Police could not protect them.
Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya could be proud of grossly violating the human rights of 30 million Nepalis to move without hindrance, work, earn bread and live peacefully. This is a great crime committed against humanity. If Mr. Vaidhya were to continue violating human rights one day he might end up in Hague for trail on crime against humanity.
Mr. Vaidhya had called the shutdown of the entire country to protest the arrest of murderers of a reporter in Dailekh, and against the formation of a government under the leadership of the Chief Justice. The entire country has to suffer for a few criminals arrested in Dailekh, and the formation of a new government. Mr. Vaidhya is not going to make dent in both cases but he has made the people suffer for a day.
