Squabbling Over Joining Government

Parliamentary Leader of MPRF Bijaya Kumar Gacchedar has taken an oath of office of Deputy Prime Minister from the Prime Minister at the Presidential residence on June 4, 2009. Writing a letter to the Prime Minister and giving a copy to the Chairman of the CPN-UML, his party boss Upendra Yadav has protested it saying his party has not done the selection of its members to join the new government.
President of MPRF Upendra Yadav and his supporters have been busy with collecting signatures of the parliamentary party members for recalling Gacchedar from the government and taking a strong party actions against him for going against the decision on not taking any decision on selecting any members for joining the new government when Gacchedar has not even completed the oath-taking ceremony.
Mr. Yadav also has charged the NC, CPN-UML, TMDP and Nepal Sadbhavana Party of engaging in splitting his party accepting Gacchedar as the leader of the team of MPRF joining the government without the official appointment of Gacchedar to the position by his party.
