July 26, 2012: Speaking to the reporters in Chitwan, Secretary of CPN-Maoist Netra Bikram Chand today said that his party was ready to take up arms if the situation were to demand. Secretary Chand was in Chitwan to inform about the National Public Volunteer Center. Secretary Chand has said that his party works for peace and sometimes guns also are used for peace; if the state uses guns against the people then none should consider people taking up guns negatively, according to ‘The Himalayan Times.’
