Leaders Meet With President

January 4, 2014: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav yesterday gave an audience to top leaders of political parties at the Sheetal Niwas Office of the President, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
During the meeting with Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Surya Bahadur Thapa and chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) Bijay Kumar Gacchedar, the president discussed the issues of the latest political development and of calling the session of the Constituent Assembly.
Chairman of RPP Thapa said that the President should call the first CA following the international practice, the government should take initiative to remove constitutional obstacles and there should be no dispute over the election of the president until the promulgation of a new constitution, RPP central member Kiran Giri quoted Thapa as saying.
Previously, President Yadav had consulted with NC President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and UCPN-Maoist Chairman Prachanda on Thursday.
