Nepalis Enjoyed Celebrating X-mas

December 26, 2011: all Nepalis in general and Nepalese Christians in particular have enjoyed the public holiday the government of Nepal has declared honoring the rights of the Christians to celebrate their annual festival: Christmas. On this occasion, the entire country has enjoyed the holiday.
The two main thoroughfares such as Thamel and Drubarmarga areas have been crowded with the revelers. They are not only Christians but also of different faiths. Some tourists join them in celebrating the x-mas.
Christians have assembled at various churches across Nepal. They sang carols and performed other rituals following their respective Christian tradition.
Since Nepal became the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and declaration of the secular state, the government of Nepal has set the tradition of honoring all sorts of religious and cultural traditions Nepalis have adopted. So, the government of Nepal has declared the Christmas day the official holiday in Nepal.
