Decisions Made By Central Committee Of UCPN-Maoist

Issue 19, May 9, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

May 7, 2010: alleging the members of ‘youth force’ affiliated to the CPN-UML and ‘tarun dal’ affiliated to the NC have assaulted the UCPN-Maoist cadres at the peaceful marches and rallies in various parts of the country, the central committee of the UCPN-Maoist has decided on May 6, 2010 to fight back the attackers. In addition, the central committee has decided to permit the vehicles carrying vegetables to the different parts of the country. Since the launching of the movement for ‘peace and constitution’, farmers have been asking the UCPN-Maoist for permitting them to take their products to the market because the most perishable products need immediate markets otherwise farmers will lose them.

The UCPN-Maoist cadres have permitted to operate ambulances, milk and water tankers, reporters’ vehicles, vehicles of the diplomatic missions, trash collectors’ vehicles and vehicles carrying tourists, now to these vehicles they have added the vehicles of farmers carrying perishable vegetables.

The central committee of the UCPN-Maoist has also decided to permit the market to open for four hours from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM instead of two hours so that people in general could buy and sell the items of their daily necessities.
