Kathmandu Declaration of 2068

Issue 29, July 17, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 11, 2011: the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has held a function to announce the ‘Kathmandu Declaration of 2068’ yesterday. The Kathmandu Declaration of 2068 is for enforcing a new traffic management system, night business houses and night security system; it has conceived different plans on environmental and cultural conservation of the capital valley, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

The Kathmandu Metropolis is the richest metropolitan city in Nepal but nobody knows where the money goes. The metropolitan administration has not even able to properly name the streets and keep the signs of streets at the right places and properly, and has not been able to number the houses and so on. So, the metropolitan administration needs to immediately post the names of the streets at the right places so that people don’t face any difficulty in finding the streets and then the houses rather than putting forward a plan that says many things but the administration will not be able to do even a simplest thing such as naming streets and posting their names properly.
