By KTM Metro Reporter
September 12, 2013: cadres of the CPN-Maoist chaired by Mohan Vaidhya have enforced the day-long shutdown of the Kathmandu Valley protesting against holding elections to a new constituent assembly today. Chairman Vaidhya and his cadres don’t care how many millions worth of businesses have been lost. They want to make the common folks pay for meeting their goals.
All private, and public vehicles serving the public transport have been off the road today. Schools and other educational institutions have remained closed. Markets also have remained closed for a day.
Businesses of the common folks have been disrupted for protesting against holding elections to a new constituent assembly. Chairman Vaidhya has violated the human rights in two ways. First Mr. Vaidhya violated the rights of the people to vote protesting against holding elections, and second, by shutting down the businesses of people, Mr. Vaidhya violated the human rights of the common folks to work regularly, to travel without obstructions, and earn livelihood. Cadres of Mr. Vaidhya have brutally stopped the traffic and people to do businesses.
