Calendar Of Operation for Completing Constitution

July 5, 2010: leaders of three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML have agreed on making a calendar of operation for completing the writing of a new constitution and setting up a State Restructuring Committee at the meeting held at Baneshwor in Kathmandu following the call of Chairman of Constituent Assembly (CA) Subash Nemwang on Sunday, July 04, 2010 according to the state-run newspaper ‘The Rising Nepal’ of July 5, 2010.
Leaders claiming to be democrats need to work seriously on completing the writing of a new constitution and then promulgating it before the term of the CA expires for institutionalizing the gains of the People’s Movement of 2006 and keeping alive the newly born Republic of Nepal. Only then, the political stability will be possible.
