Issue 05, January 31, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On January 26, 2010, the state-run newspaper called ‘Gorkhapatra’ has reported that some of the Ministers of State have complained to the public about their status. Minister of Stat for Home Ansari has complained about Home Minister Bhim Rawal not listening to his proposal for ending the impunity in the police service, for introducing a reward and punishment system and posting right persons to the right positions in the police service, so, changes have not been made in the police administration as required by the current political situation.

Similarly, Minister of State for Physical Planning and Work Sanjay Shah has said that Ministers of State have no work in Nepal, so, paying salaries to them is the wastage of the taxpayers’ money; leaders of the political parties have been using the Ministers of State for meeting their self-interest, and these leaders have been behaving as the feudal lords.
