Building A Consensus On Contentious Issues Or Not

Issue 42, October 14, 2012

By KTM Metro Reporter

October 11, 2012: Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that political stakeholders have been closer to a consensus on the contentious issues including the formation of a national unity government. “We have reached closer to an understanding over most of the thorny issues,” ‘THT ONLIN’ quotes Prachanda as saying while talking to reporters at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today late evening before flying to Belgium for a weeklong visit for participating an international conference.

While in Khotang for inaugurating a party building, CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Nepal sarcastically said that a consensus would be forged as per the wish of Prachanda, according to ‘THT ONLINE’.

Madhav Nepal has no mandate from the people, as the voters rejected him in two constituencies in the elections to CA in 2008 but such guys not having the people’s mandate have been blocking the completion of crafting a new constitution and then holding elections, as elections means suicide to such so-called Nepalese leaders but shameless crooks that are ready to do anything just to get into the office of prime minister.
