CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya Positive On An Offer Of All-party Round Table Conference

July 8, 2013: the politburo meeting of the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya held in Kathmandu on July 6, and July 7, 2013, has decided to hold talks and at the same time to continue the protest, as the government and the four major political parties have agreed on meeting certain demands but not all demands including the demands for forming an all-party government, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

 

The meeting of the four major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC, CPN-UML and UDMF held in Kathmandu on July 5, 2013 has agreed on making amendments to the four-party political mechanism, to the 11-point agreement they had reached, and to the 25-point Removal of Constitutional Hurdles Ordinance issued by the president but not dissolving the current government headed by the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal, and not postponing the elections to a new Constituent Assembly scheduled to be held on November 19, 2013.
