Murder Of Another Media Person

Issue 10, March 07, 2010

BY KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

March 2, 2010: an unidentified person has made three shots at Arun Shinghania publisher of ‘Janakpur Today’ and founder of FM ‘Radio Today’ in Janakpur on March 1, 2010. He was dead on the spot as the three bullets hit his head and chest killing him instantly according to the local media reports. After celebrating the festival of ‘holi’, Arun was returning home. On the way, he was shot dead.

The police have failed to reach the murder site immediately provoking speculations that the police might be involved in this case, too. The police have not been able to arrest the killers of Jamin Shah a media man shot dead on a broad daylight in Kathmandu about a month ago.

Reporters have been angry with Home Minister Bhim Rawal that has introduced his especial security plan but has not been able to protect the lives of media men and curb the murder cases rather has increased. His especial plan is most probably for making money at the cost of the nation.
