Students Punishing Common Commuters Illegal
By KTM Metro Reporter
March 21, 2013: students have blocked the traffic passing through the campuses protesting against the rise in the cost of commuting from 8:30 am to 10:00 am today. Anybody could protest against anything during the political-transition period. Even the Civil Servants’ Union has threatened to boycott the elections to a new CA if their demands were not to meet.
However, students and anybody blocking the business of others should understand it is illegal and liable to punishment. Students should be models others to emulate them but unfortunately, students in Nepal have been indulging in politics committing crimes for the advantage of their political bosses.
Students should know that even their parents also must have been affected by their illegal traffic blocking. All Nepalis have the fundamental rights to move without hindrances. So, blocking traffic means the students have been abusing the rights of the common folks.
Today’s traffic jam enforced by the so-called students has caused immense troubles to anybody that has happened to be on the streets around any campus from 8:30am to 10:00am.
