"To make the November 19 election a success and promulgate a new constitution, I am ready to die," Chairman Prachanda said. "Baidyaji is trying to kill me. If my vehicle was trapped in ambush, my death was inevitable. But, security personnel managed to escape the ambush," Chairman Prachanda said in the interview.

However, CPN-Maoist top leaders deny their involvement in such attacks.

As the election date draws closer, Nepal is witnessing an upsurge in the violence because of the 33-party alliance lead by the CPN-Maoist has declared the shutdown, and started off setting fire on the vehicles, and setting off bombs to interrupt the elections on November 19, 2013.
