By KTM Metro Reporter

August 23, 2011: Speaking at the closing session of the 21st central council meeting of his party in Bhaktapur yesterday, Chairman of Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe has said that he is for forming a majority government, as the consensus government means coalition of all political parties could be a totalitarian in absence of any opposition in the parliament according to the state-news agency called RSS.

Chairman Bijukchhe has said that an opposition party is necessary to oppose any decisions the government makes going against the interest of the nation but the opposition also needs to support the good decisions.

He also has said if the three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML build a consensus on forming a new government such a government would be disastrous to the small political parties.

Leaders of the three major political parties in the name of building a consensus on forming a new government have been talking to each other intensively since the president gave them a week time and then extended it for another three days for forming a new government based on a consensus. The deadline will expire at 5PM tomorrow.
