Gajurel Blames Nemwang For Delay In Constitution Writing

Issue 27, July 03, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

June 27, 2011: speaking at the Reporters’ Club yesterday, Secretary of UCPN-Maoist C. P. Gajurel has blamed Chairman of Constituent Assembly Subash Nemwang for the delay in completing the constitution writing, as Chairman Nemwang has failed in sending the reports prepared by the thematic committees for discussions for 13 months, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Gajurel has said that Chairman Nemwang not sending the reports prepared by the thematic committees for discussions has been responsible for the delay in the constitution writing not the political parties that have been defamed and wrongly pointed at for not completing a new constitution.

If Chairman Nemwang has sent the reports to the concerned committees, the lawmakers would have discussed them but he has held the reports stating the political parties have not built a consensus on those matters.
