SLC Board Exams Starts Off On March 25

March 24, 2010: Board Exams of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) start off on March 25, 2010; 466,300 students are taking these exams this year according to the Controller of Examinations Office at Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. Question papers and other related materials for holding the examinations sent by this office have already reached at all the examination centers in all 75 districts across the country.
In view of the possible disturbances and irregularities in the examinations, the office has made the provision for imposing a fine of up to Rs 100,000 on the persons violating and abusing the examination rules and norms this year. In most of the rural areas, irregularities have been regular occurrences in the SLC board examinations held in the past.
