Issue 43, October 27, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

October 26, 2013: according to the morning news aired by the Radio Nepal today, hundreds of motorbikes, and some vehicles with the party flags welcomed Chairman of Madheshi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic Bijaya Gacchedar in Biratnagar yesterday. Members of other Madheshi party complained about the breach of the election codes of conduct at the Election Commission office. The EC has asked Chairman Gacchedar to reply in writing within 24 hours about the disregard of the election codes of conduct.

Following the election codes of conduct, every candidate needs to get the permission of the EC office for the use of two light vehicles for the purpose of the election campaign but most of the candidates have disregarded this provision made in the election codes of conduct. However, the EC has directed the security to take immediate actions against anybody violating the election codes of conduct.
