China Urges Nepal to Stop Anti-china activities

On July 1, 2009, Former Ambassador to Nepal and a politburo member of Communist Party of China Zhang Jiuhuan has met with Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala at her office in Kathmandu and has urged her to stop anti-China activities in Nepal. She in turn has assured the Chinese envoy of stopping any anti-china activities in Nepal. The government has arrested 34 Tibetans in Nepal allegedly attempting to enter Tibet for a free-Tibet movement recently.
