Election Date After Environment Conducive To Elections

April 20, 2013: spokesman for the IECM Madhav Poudel said that the government would set the election date only after creating an environment conducive to hold elections. Speaking to the reporters at the Ministry of Information and Communication on Thursday, April 18, 2013, Minister for Information and Communication also the spokesman for the government Madhav Poudel said that setting election date was not a great thing to do but bringing the opposition parties to participate in the elections was something serious thing to do, according to ‘gorkhapatra’ of yesterday.

 

The government has been preparing for the elections seriously but certain issues have to be addressed politically; so, the environment has not been fully conducive to elections, yet, said the spokesman. He also said that the government was for doing everything seriously rather setting the election date in a hurry and then face serious challenges.

 

The Government was launching a campaign of distributing citizenship certificates starting on Sunday, April 21, 2013. The government was sending 531 teams to all 75 districts to distribute citizenship certificates, and the government also distributing citizenship certificates through the 305 mobile service centers.
