Session of Constituent Assembly: Parliament

On the recommendation of the Prime Minister, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav called a session of the Constituent Assembly: parliament on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Chairman of the Constitution Assembly read out the letter sent by the President to the members of the Constituent Assembly.

All of the members of the Constituent Assembly stood in silence for one minute to mourn the death of the member of the Constituent Assembly died in a motorbike accident and former minister: both belonging to the Nepali Congress.

Following the tradition of postponing the session after the mourning for the death of two members of the Nepali congress, the Chairman postponed the session to Tuesday, March 31, 2009 despite a number of the members of the Constituent Assembly wanted to speak on the first day of the opening of the session of the Constituent Assembly.
