Issue 24, June 16, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

June 12, 2013: Speaking at the 21st anniversary function of Security Board of Nepal (SEBON) in Kathmandu on Sunday, June 9, 2013, Governor of the central bank called Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada said that the government should amend the Company Act to put pressure on the giant private companies to convert them into public companies; pointing at a few giant private companies, Governor Dr. Khatiwada, said that the government should introduce a new law for compulsory conversion of such large private companies having capital more than a certain limit into public companies, according to the news on gorkhapatraonline.com..

Dr. Khatiwada loves to control everything possible because the control on anything brings power to the controller and even rent under the table. So, Dr. Khatiwada has made it necessary to write down the names of four generations and their citizenship certificate numbers for anybody opening a bank account. The story does not end here; s/he needs to submit the payment receipts of electricity or water bills. Millions of Nepalis having no water connections and electricity connections cannot open any bank account. This is what the so-called Dr. Khatiwada did to Nepalis. Is Dr. Khatiwada has done PhD or a medical doctor or not of the both?
