November 8, 2012: speaking at a closed session of Ninth National Conference of Nepal Public Campus Association in Kathmandu yesterday, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai warned former king Gyanendra Shah of cutting down the benefits the government has been providing if Mr. Shah were to take the benefit of the current political transition according to nepalnews.com.
Mr. Gyanendra Shah has been active in the name of visiting different religious shrines recently creating the people’s enthusiasm for him to welcome at various meeting points at what cost remains to be seen. Addressing a religious function in Nawalparasi district on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, Mr. Shah told the people to beware of the policy and decisions of the political parties that have been causing the chaos in the country. As a citizen of the country, he has the rights to be concerned with the situation of the country.
However, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai should removed all benefits the government has been providing to Mr. Shah immediately, as he was a rich man and he could afford his personal security at his own cost. So, why the government needs to use the poor men’s taxes for his security and for him to moving around the country in the name of religion. If he wants to earn the merits visiting religious shrines he needs to use his own resources not the people’s resources.
