Confusing Political Situation In Nepal
August 8, 2011: speaking at an interaction program held by the Reporters’ Club in Kathmandu, Minister for Information and Communications Posta Bahadur Bogati has said that the national unity government would be formed and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai would be the prime minister before Aug 31: the last day of the Constituent Assembly if its term is not extended again; Mr. Bogati also has said that the controversial issues of the combatant integration and rehabilitation will be resolved within Aug 13: the date the Prime Minister has set for himself to resign if the Maoists don’t move forward to the peace process, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
Speaking to the standing committee members at a meeting held at its headquarters yesterday, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that Prime Minister has made two mistakes: first he has consulted with the opposition parties including the Nepali Congress before reshuffling the cabinet disregarding the prerogative of the Prime Minister and then he has announced his decision on quitting the office without consulting the coalition partners, nepalnews.com writes.
